Coventry Hospital Radio gets no funding from the NHS or UHCW. We rely totally on donations, we are constantly out and about trying to raise funds to keep the station available to the patients within University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

Welcome to Coventry Hospital Radio (CHR)

The station was established in 1972, and is run by a dedicated team of volunteers.

CHR is managed by a committee who are elected every 2 years and broadcasts to the patients bedside 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, totally FREE of charge through your Bedside Units.

While in the hospital it’s easy and free of charge to start listening to Coventry Hospital Radio, just press the radio button on the control located at the left hand side of your unit, select Hospital Radio and away you go.

Take a look at our programme schedule and you will find a choice of show which will fit your style of music. You can also view the presenters profile page to put a face to the person you are listening to.

Coventry Hospital Radio are always on the lookout for volunteers to help with the running of the station, this ranges from visiting the wards to presenting your own show.

Once you have become a volunteer at Coventry Hospital Radio full training will be given to get you on the road to helping the patients with their recovery while they are in the hospital.

There are many ways of listening to your favourite Hospital Radio.
