CHR Presenter Dan Sambell

Coventry Hospital Radio (CHR) are always on the lookout for enthusiastic new recruits who have a few hours to spare each week to join the station as a ‘Radio Presenter’.

Do you have good communication skills? A good sense of humour? A love of a particular type of music? If yes, then you’d be a welcome addition to our team of radio presenters.

Whether you’ve done anything like this before or not, don’t worry as we will provide full training and support to get you on the road to presenting your own radio show.

Once you’ve completed and passed your training, before going live for the first time you will be asked to record a promo to advertise your show and a recorded show to go out whenever you are unable to attend live.

Volunteers will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check with UHCW Voluntary Services and inform them of any health related issues before starting with Coventry Hospital Radio.

What skills do I need?

Volunteers don’t need any skills to join the team at Coventry Hospital Radio as full training will be given to get you started as a Radio Presenter, all we ask is to be able to be friendly,  enthusiastic, approachable and be cheerful andable to commit for at least 12 months.
