Become part of our team as a Radio Presenter

CHR Presenter Dan Sambell

Coventry Hospital Radio (CHR) is continually seeking passionate new volunteers who can dedicate a few hours each week to join the team as a ‘Radio Presenter.’

If you are 16 years or older, searching for a rewarding activity in your free time, can commit to at least one hour per week, and are keen on contributing to the efforts of Coventry Hospital Radio, please click on one of the links at the bottom of the page to obtain an application pack and become part of our award-winning team here at Coventry Hospital Radio.

Do you possess strong communication skills, a great sense of humour, or a passion for a specific genre of music? If so, you would be a perfect fit for our team of radio presenters.

No prior experience? No problem. We provide comprehensive training and support to prepare you for hosting your own radio show.

After completing and passing your training, you’ll need to record a promotional clip for your show and a pre-recorded session for times when you can’t be there live.

Volunteers must complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check with UHCW Voluntary Services and disclose any health issues before starting at Coventry Hospital Radio.

What skills are required?

No initial skills are necessary to join Coventry Hospital Radio’s team; we offer all the training needed to begin as a Radio Presenter. We only ask that you be friendly, enthusiastic, approachable, cheerful, and able to commit for at least 12 months.
