About Us
Welcome to Coventry Hospital Radio (CHR). Founded in 1972, the station thrives through the commitment of our volunteer team. CHR is overseen by a committee elected biennially and offers broadcasts directly to patient bedside units 24/7, completely free of charge. To tune in, simply press the radio button on the control to the left of your unit, select Hospital Radio, and enjoy.
Explore our programme schedule to discover shows that match your musical taste. You can also visit the presenter’s profile page to see who’s behind the voice you’re listening to.
Coventry Hospital Radio is continually seeking volunteers to assist with station operations, from ward visits to hosting your own show.
Upon becoming a volunteer at Coventry Hospital Radio, comprehensive training will be provided, equipping you to contribute to the patients’ recovery during their hospital stay.
Coventry Hospital Radio is not funded by the NHS or UHCW; our operations rely solely on donations. We continuously seek contributions to keep the station available to patients at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
If you would like to support us, please think about participating in our fundraising events or donating through our JustGiving page.
Your support is greatly appreciated in advance.
