Since finishing university in 2019, I have volunteered in different organizations. So when I started my job role at UHCW I had theoppertunity to look more in to volunteering rolesat the hospitaland was keen to learn more about how patients could be supported through volunteering at CHR; and therefore decided to volunteer as a ward visitor. Reques collecting was a new experience for myself as I had never volunteered in a ward environment before, and getting to meet patients and to learn more about them has been a great oppertunity and a highlight of my time here.
