Coventry Hospital Radio scoop silver at National Hospital Broadcasting Awards
Coventry Hospital Radio (CHR) provide an invaluable service for our staff and patients, and were recognised for this at this year’s National Hospital Broadcasting Awards ceremony.
Colin and Annette Gutteridge’s music set won the Silver Award (second place) in the Best Programme with Multi-Presenters category.
CHR Public Relations Officer, Simon Tidmarsh said: “We are delighted with our results at the awards, and even happier that Colin and Annette won silver in their category.
“This year was tougher than ever due to a higher number of nominations across each category, so as a station are very happy with the outcome.
“I’d like to thank all of our volunteers who give up their free time every week to keep the station running and allow us to continue to put smiles on our staff and patients’ faces.”
CHR also finished in the top 10 in two categories, thanks to Dan Harriot’s ‘The Great British Pub Crawl’ and the station’s ‘Remembering Andrew Colby’ in the Best Speech Package and Special Event categories respectively.
The station is available to broadcast via patient bedside units and online at www.coventryhospitalradio.org 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
