Please read the items below and if you think it’s for you select one of the links above.

Unfortunately Coventry Hospital Radio are unable to offer Short Term Work Experience Placements.

Coventry Hospital Radio (CHR) are always on the lookout for enthusiastic new recruits who have a few hours to spare each week to join the station as a ‘Ward Visitor’ or ‘Presenter’.

If you are 16 years or older and looking for something to do during your spare time then why not apply to join the award winning team here at Coventry Hospital Radio.

PRESENTERS WANTED

Are you a budding broadcaster, wanting to learn the skills required to put together and broadcast your own radio programmes for patients.

CHR Presenter Dan Sambell

Joining our team couldn’t be easier. You don’t need any special qualifications to become a member and previous experience is not required as full training is given to get you started. If you enjoy being part of a team, like meeting and chatting with new people, enjoy a range of music, have buckets of enthusiasm and a great sense of fun, then we want you as part of our team! Once you become a member of the CHR Team all we ask is that you are able to attend the station here at University Hospital Coventry on a regular basis.

WARD VISITORS WANTED

Or do you enjoy meeting new people and want to become one of the faces of CHR as one of our ward visitors, collecting requests for our presenters to play on air.

Colin & Annette Gutteridge at the bedside

Then why not become a member of our Ward Visiting team. Without the pressures of live broadcasting, our Ward Visitors are able to take more time to chat with patients on the wards, help them tune in to hear our programmes via the WiFi Spark bedside unit and collect music requests to play out later in the day.

FUNDRAISING EVENTS

As Coventry Hospital Radio gets no funding from University Hospital or the NHS we are totally dependant on donations to keep the station running. All we ask is that you help us out at any fundraising events or Bucket collections we hold throughout the year.
