After having some spare time I applied to become a volunteer within UHCW, following meetings and chats with the volunteers office I was asked about joining Coventry Hospital Radio as a Request Collector.

At present I go round visiting the wards of UHCW on a Wednesday between 10.30 – 12.30 setting up the patients bedside Hospedia units, handing out headphones and taking the patients requests ready to be played out on the radio later that day.

I find that volunteering gives me peace of mind and also gives me back my self confidence and in return I’m giving something back to the NHS.

In my spare time I keep myself occupied with Coventry City Football Club as well as following my family history and looking after my aviary birds.
